This episode, the second of Channel News Asia’s series on AIDS in Singapore aired on 19 August 2005, focused on the homosexual community. It included interviews with gay activist Alex Au and counsellor Clarence Singam.

On 30 Sep 07, Minister of Health, Khaw Boon Wan, announced an impending amendment to the Infectious Diseases Act which would make it a criminal offence for unknowingly infected HIV carriers to have unprotected sex with multiple partners – a world first. The Ministry of Health would also be empowered to shut down premises where infections were thought to have taken place.
