You know you’re a sexologist when you come across this page in a book you’re reading and wonder whether there should be another F word.

rory-210x300On a more serious note, this book is a good quick and useful read with the main message being the need to have self-discipline! Distraction is afterall a dangerously deceptive saboteur of our goals, according to the author of the book Take the Stairs, Rory Vaden.

His book covered seven principles for simplifiying self-disciplien to liberate your potential. They are:

  1. Sacrifice: The Paradox Principle
  2. Commitment: The Buy-In Principle
  3. Focus: The Magnification Principle
  4. Integrity: The Creation Principle
  5. Schedule: The Harvest Principle
  6. Faith: The Perspective Principle
  7. Action: The Pendulum Principle

The above picture was, as you probably guessed, under 6. Faith.

I borrowed this book from the library because Rory will be one of the speakers at Toastmasters Convention, Kuala Lumpur this coming week. I will be attending Toastmasters Convention for the first time and will be leaving tomorrow Aug 19.

I will be speaking at another conference, the 3rd Regional Conference on Nutrition in Obstetrics & Gynaecology that weekend. I also spoke at the Sexuality and Incontinence forum at Suntec Convention Convention and Exhibition Centre last weekend (on Sat 16 Aug).
