I am doing the exercises in the book Finding Water by Julia Cameron. This is her third book in the series under The Artist’s Way.
I stumbled upon the book, and having been resuming my Morning Pages, weekly Artistic Date, as well as weekly walk. My spirits are lifted. I am inspired once more.
In week 4 of 12 – Uncovering A Sense of Balance, we are invited to write a Bedtime Prayer. This is mine:
Dear Higher Power,
As I close my eyes to put my body to sleep, I ask you to release all the negative effects and consequences from my day. I am sorry for any person I’ve hurt consciously and unconsciously. I forgive me right now. I shall continue to believe I am becoming the best version of who I have always been meant to be. I believe and call fro my purpose of healing humanity through my life.
I lay my wishes, desires, and all things I should do and want to be before your feet. I trust that I will remember them, and will pick them up tomorrrow, without forgetting any of them. I thnak you for this day, for my life, for my parents and friends who continue to love and support me. Watch over them, including my clients. I ask of You to send them healing, love and protection.
If you wrote a Bedtime Prayer, how would it start? What would you include? Please have a think. Better yet, pick up a piece of paper and a pen, and just write away. Journaling is healing to our soul.
