Here’s a brand new way to connect with your partner: harmonise your respective energies with your hands.
Help each other destress and relax with a low-maintenance method whether on the couch, in public transport or even in bed.
Add mutual benefit and caring touch to your life with your partner. Instead of “scratch my back I’ll scratch yours”, we can spend quality time together sharing the power of harmonising touch. There is no need for effort or planning needed. There is also no risk of triggering the other person emotionaly – just gentle touch.
Sometimes we don’t feel like talking but want to enjoy some quiet time together. It’s perfectly alright to allocate 5 or 10 minutes when the time is available or longer sessions when possible.
The ancient Art of JinShinJyutsu (JSJ) uses the hands-on specific areas on the body to help the receiver’s energy pathways unblock. The action is similar to one candle lighting another no effort on the part of the giver and the receiver benefits. There is no exchange nor input of energy and it is not a ‘giving’ of energy. We naturally gently spark each other as in when holding hands and in several gestures we unwittingly use everyday.
In this workshop you will learn:
- Different ways to connect with your partner with specific intentions in mind e.g. help a headache, release stress, manage emotions, energise or simply be.
- How to use touch with intention.
- How to respond to your body’s needs for a quick and easy antidote.
We know that when we need to feel more resourceful or are displaying power we fold our arms across the chest. This pose or stance actually sets in motion the energy pathways that harmonise our inner power. Holding hands with someone activates the all-encompassing energy flow that keeps us connected to ourselves and the world around us. Sign up and learn how you can heal yourself and/ or your partner in this experiential session.

Testimonials:
“The sessions I had with Carolyn were like coming home to a very caring family member, who allowed me to be seen and heard, for what felt like the first time in a long time. Carolyn’s warm presence invited me to simply unravel and quite quickly express and discover the roots of my unease. Her simple exercises and tools proved to be profound adjustments to my daily practice and effectively helped me gently redirect my path towards a greater inner stability. As I worked more with Carolyn, the most beautiful gift I experienced was when she invited her partner, Rennie, to also join the session. I will always remember that moment – I was cared for like a newborn babe, wrapped in the unconditional love of the masculine and feminine, silently healing old wounds and releasing patterns that no longer served me. Rennie’s gentle and intuitive touch combined with Carolyn’s energetic awareness, were like medicinal balm to my soul. What a treasure to work with them both – and even more meaningful that they accommodated my busy schedule as a mother of a toddler and came to my own home for the sessions. Working with Carolyn and Rennie absolutely guided me to a path of healing, and I can confidently say that I am in a better place now than prior to our sessions together. Thank you beautiful souls!” – Amber Sawyer, PhD, Founder of Satsanga and Embodied Living
“I first went to Caroline due to an acute back problem. At the session I thought I would still have to see my physiotherapist in due course. But it happened that I didn’t have to! I feel deeply relaxed during her sessions. 10 out of 10. It feels good to just let someone take care of me for a while since I spend my waking moments being of service to others. It’s a self-love gift to myself. I enjoy her sessions not only because of her technical proficiency but because Caroline is service-hearted, caring, friendly, funny, warm and easy-going. She cares to educate me about Jin Shin Jyutsu when I ask and also gives self-help tips. I am drawn to how passionate Caroline is about her craft, constantly upgrading her skills through learning. Caroline is also appreciative mirror and has reflected back to me positive qualities she sees in me in a genuine, heartfelt way. What makes Caroline special is a potent combination of technical mastery and HERSELF. She herself is a gift. :)” – VG

Profile
JinShinJyutsu practitioner and therapist Carolyn Street has been studying and using the art for 15 years since 2003. She was treated to a session by her then massage therapist who had learnt it one year prior. In a bid to avoid surgery on her C2C3, L4L5 that had been scheduled, Carolyn felt massive relief in her back thanks to the JSJ and signed up for the class in August 2003 conducted by senior JSJ teacher Wayne Hackett. During that 5day class Carolyn’s severe back pain was healed and she did not have to undergo surgery after all. Later that year she cleared her PCOS and lost 5kg in 6 weeks by casually practicing on herself. She and her husband Rennie are the owners of the sole proprietorship Jin Shin Jyutsu Singapore.
While JSJ in its normal expression is either self-help or practioner working on a client, Carolyn devised these sessions to help couples bond and share the healing benefits of touch in a cosy, relaxed setting. There are no musts shoulds or coulds with his Art; once you have been introduced to the holds that Carolyn presents you will be able to find out which ones are most enjoyable, soothing and helpful for your unique partnership. You will have the tools and awareness to create your own exchanges with loved ones for whichever intention arises at any given time.
