Eros Coaching decided to feature Felicia Tan because her courage and vulnerability in sharing her personal stories of miscarriages.

  1. What do you do?

feliciaHmm, sounds simple and yet complicated. I inspire to empower miscarried women to find the sparkle back into their life again.

I became an “accidental author” after I wrote my first book when I miscarried in 2011. It was definitely unplanned but I took it upon myself to complete it in 3 months time because that was his Estimated Delivery Date (EDD).

Three months later, I got my To Baby With Love book and found closure. I moved on to conceiving again, this time a pair of twins and only to miscarry too. What have I overlooked? What have I done wrong? Feeling even guiltier, I wrote my second book – Lost And Found. Comments, feedback and advices started pouring in as readers shared  their gynae, TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) contacts and etc. More people came to visit me, I was overwhelmed but felt loved too. I also came to realise a lot of people were suffering in silence too. They did not know who they could reach out to, neither did they knew people who experienced something similar to share their stories with or to seek comfort.

  1. felicia3Why do you do what you do?

Through my own personal experience, I realised that when I miscarried, I was on my lonely path of self healing. I couldn’t find any support group or any help to turn to. After searching numerous motherhood forums, many threads have turned cold after these women went on to conceive their “rainbow baby”.

Through this painful period, I was troubled by questions I found myself constantly asking..and the most significant question was: “Can I even be happy again?” It was a roller coaster definitely, but I have walked out of it. So, I want to empower woman and help those who suffered a similar predicament by reminding them that they are not alone.

  1. How do you find time for all that?

If everything is said to be equal for all human beings, that is time. No one has more and no one has less. So the question which really matters, is how you want to spend your time on and with who. Right now, I enjoy plenty of coffee sessions with individuals who have approached me for a private session or just sharing over a cup of coffee.

  1. What does the future hold for you?

InterviewFeliciaTanI hope to have another child and to enjoy my family in wholeness in time to come. In my work spheres, I would love to share on a bigger stage to educate people on the topic of miscarriage and how to help one another make this world a more loving society to live in.

  1. What advice would you give to us?

Enjoy every moment you have, be present, be in the moment! Because things can happen quickly and you might lose everything you once had. Don’t procrastinate, do the things that you said you wanted to. There is no need to wait for the right timing, right moment, just do it while you are able to. Life is never prefect and it will never be.
