Books I Read in 2020

Posted On: December 26, 2020

I had set the goal of reading 150 books in 2013; 200 in 2014, 2015 and 2016; 100 in 2017 and 2018.

This is how I fared

I intend to read at least 50 books this year! I managed 92.

Subscribe to my enewsletters here so as to be informed at the end of next if I achieve this goal!

In the meantime, check out the list of books I read in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 ,2017, 2018 and 2019 here.

As per previous years, I’m sorting them into five categories:

  • Fun (completely random books I picked up or the sort of thing I read to pass time);
  • Spirituality (what I am into it but actually also fun for me);
  • Work (not necessarily related to my field but along the lines of business e.g. marketing, customer service, productivity etc);
  • Sexuality (I have added this label so you know this book is primarily about sexuality);
  • Relationship (self explanatory)

This year even with the lockdown and pandemic, I spent more time with online studying, Netflix, and organising virtual sexuality festivals than reading. Can view my 2020 milestones here. I still wanted to list the books I read for your reference, but mainly for my own reference.

  • Fun – 5
  • Spirituality – 0
  • Work – 63
  • Sexuality – 19
  • Relationship – 5

If you like to recommend that I read a book, or review yours, please drop me an email at drmarthalee@eroscoaching.com (I do reserve the final decision though. Wink.)

About Dr. Martha Tara Lee

Surrounded by friends who were sexually inhibited and struck by dire lack of positive conversations around sex and sexuality in Singapore, Dr. Martha Tara Lee set out to make a positive difference in embarking on her doctorate in human sexuality before launching Eros Coaching in 2009. Today, she remains dedicated to working with individuals and couples who wish to lead self-actualised and pleasure-filled lives.

She also holds certificates in counselling, coaching and sex therapy, and her fourth degree – a Masters in Counselling in May 2018. In practice for more than 10 years, she is the only certified sexuality educator and certified sexuality educator supervisor by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) in Singapore.

Often cited in the media, Dr. Lee is the appointed Resident Sexologist for PinkLifestyle.com; as well appointed sex expert for Men’s Health Singapore, and Men’s Health Malaysia. She was recognised as one of ‘Top 50 Inspiring Women Under 40′ by Her World in July 2010, and one of ‘Top 100 Inspiring Women’ by CozyCot in March 2011. She has published four books: Love, Sex and Everything In-BetweenOrgasmic YogaFrom Princess to Queen and {Un}Inhibited.

Martha works with individuals and couples in private coaching sessions, and conducts her own workshops. She takes prides in making sure all her workshops are also fun, educational, and sex-positive. This comes easily to her because even though she is extremely dedicated and serious about her work, she fundamentally believes that sex is meant to be fun, wonderful, amazing and sacred. As such, this serious light-heartedness has shone through again and again. For her full profile, click here. Email her here.
