How Somebody does Something… is how they do Everything

How Somebody does Something is how they do EverythingMany years ago, my friend who is an avid dog lover refused to see a life coach I recommended because of the way the coach treated her dog. I couldn’t see anything amiss with her dog but my friend explained: from the eyes, fur, and energy of the dog. The dog was confined in a space too small for them and not happy.
In fact, this same friend mentioned above was the one who taught me how to walk my first pet-sit dog and subsequently supported me in overcoming my fear of dogs.
Years later, having done a fair amount of pet-sitting, I was outraged when my acquaintance admitted to only walking their dog every few days. I was so upset that I even surprised myself.
If how somebody does something is how they do everything, of course it extends to how they treat animals. This is why I agree that people who abuse animals need to be called out, counseled and even punished.
Just because animals can’t speak up doesn’t mean they aren’t suffering. Kindness starts in small acts and extends to animals. Please be kind to them… except maybe cockroaches.
