1) Tell us more about yourself.
Clients hire me to remember an important moment in their lives – finding love, having a child, their breastfeeding journey, turning 30, 40, 50, 60…, celebrating beauty before it fades with time.
My services include portrait painting and photography for people of all ages and background, both locally and overseas. Every assignment contributes to our effort to give back to society – to bring joy to someone in need.
I’m best known for:
- my artistic portraits of individuals, couples and children
- my deep conversations with the elderly and less fortunate, resulting in important social projects – from working with major NGOs to bringing joy to the man-on-the-street.
2) Why do you do what you do?
I believe no one should wear a mask, just to be accepted by others. I believe the greatest gift is the gift of acceptance.
I’ve experienced a natural desire to understand people since I was a child, so my work is simply an extension of this passion. I’ve learnt that if we take the time and heart to listen and empathise, we will discover a beauty beneath how people look on the outside. This can be incredibly empowering and up-lifting.
It is a wonderful blessing for us, as artists, to have this ability to touch people’s lives.
3) What are your future plans?
We’re expanding our painting and photography commissions to Europe, and hope to share our joy to more people around the world.
4) Any advice for others?
Just a quiet reminder to slow down, and listen.
5) What are your immediate plans?
Same plan we’ve been working on the past 16 years – to share the gift of acceptance through empathy, one person at a time.

About Dr. Martha Tara Lee
She also holds certificates in counselling, coaching and sex therapy, and her fourth degree – a Masters in Counselling in May 2018. In practice for more than nine years, she is the only certified sexuality educator and certified sexuality educator supervisor by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) in Singapore.
Often cited in the local media, Dr. Lee is the appointed sex expert for Men’s Health Singapore, and Men’s Health Malaysia. She was recognised as one of ‘Top 50 Inspiring Women Under 40′ by Her World in July 2010, and one of ‘Top 100 Inspiring Women’ by CozyCot in March 2011. She is the host of weekly radio show Eros Evolution on the OMTimes Radio Network. She has published three books: Love, Sex and Everything In-Between, Orgasmic Yoga and From Princess to Queen.
Martha works with individuals and couples in private coaching sessions, and conducts her own workshops. She takes prides in making sure all her workshops are also fun, educational, and sex-positive. This comes easily to her because even though she is extremely dedicated and serious about her work, she fundamentally believes that sex is meant to be fun, wonderful, amazing and sacred.
