Travel with sex toys over the holiday season? 7 Things to Do
Travel with sex toys over the holiday season? 7 Things to Do

1. Pack light and discreet – Avoid sex toys that are shaped like genitals. Choose your toys that can fit into your hand or smaller, that are small yet powerful. Photo includes Happy Rabbit – Love Storage Zip Bag Medium

2. Consider the charging – If traveling abroad, these countries might use different plugs and voltages. If you have toys that are UBS rechargeable, they might be more convenient since you can charge by plugging into your laptop. Photo includes Evolved – Travel-gasm Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator

3. Traveling alone – Consider sex toys allow for remote sex via the internet. Photo includes Lovense – Gush Glans Massager App Controlled

4. Be cool – Airport staff are trained to spot anybody acting suspiciously. There’s no need to be shy about carrying your sex toys. You won’t be the first person to travel with a sex toy and they’ve probably seen it all.

5. See it if you want – For hygiene purposes, put your yours in a transparent bag or container so the airport screener can see your toys without needing to touch them.

6. Check-in – Check in your toys so if your bags get checked, you don’t have to deal with it in public. If you choose to carry on your toys, remember there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Photo includes Fun Factory – Stronic Petite Mini Pulsator Pastel Lilac

7. Sexual CustomsSexual customs vary around the world. Some countries, like Thailand, Malaysia, and Islamic countries, prohibits the entry of sex toys in their country. Do your research ahead of time to avoid the risk of your sex toy being confiscated.

About Dr. Martha Tara Lee

Surrounded by friends who were sexually inhibited and struck by dire lack of positive conversations around sex and sexuality in Singapore, Dr. Martha Tara Lee set out to make a positive difference in embarking on her doctorate in human sexuality before launching Eros Coaching in 2009. Today, she remains dedicated to working with individuals and couples who wish to lead self-actualised and pleasure-filled lives.

She also holds certificates in counselling, coaching and sex therapy, and her fourth degree – a Masters in Counselling in May 2018. In practice since 2009, she is the only certified sexuality educator and certified sexuality educator supervisor by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) in Singapore.

Often cited in the media, Dr. Lee is the appointed Resident Sexologist for PinkLifestyle.com, Singapore Cancer Society, and Ofnoah.sg and Ofzoey.com. She was recognised as one of ‘Top 50 Inspiring Women Under 40′ by Her World in July 2010, and one of ‘Top 100 Inspiring Women’ by CozyCot in March 2011. She has published four books: Love, Sex and Everything In-BetweenOrgasmic YogaFrom Princess to Queen and {Un}Inhibited.

Martha works with individuals and couples in private coaching sessions, and conducts her own workshops. She takes prides in making sure all her workshops are also fun, educational, and sex-positive. This comes easily to her because even though she is extremely dedicated and serious about her work, she fundamentally believes that sex is meant to be fun, wonderful, amazing and sacred.
