Want to be a better ally – but unsure where to begin, what language to use, or how to ask without getting it wrong?

RainbowAsia’s second Youth Ally Workshop is for young people who identify as heterosexual and want to better understand, respect and support LGBTQ+ people in everyday life.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, we will explore:

1. LGBTQ+ terms, gender and sexuality
2. Pronouns and respectful language
3. Common assumptions and stereotypes
4. How to create safer, more inclusive spaces
5. Practical ways to show support—as a friend, classmate, colleague or community member

You do not need to know everything before you come. Bring your curiosity, openness and willingness to learn.

Selected participants may also be considered for RainbowAsia’s Allyship Trainer Pathway—an opportunity to develop the skills to support and eventually facilitate future allyship workshops.
