- Mentioned: My name is referenced, but no quotes or input from me.
- Quoted: 1–3 quotes from me appear in a larger article.
- Featured: I’m the main focus—interviewed, highlighted, or celebrated.
- Contributed Article: I wrote the entire article—100% my work.

Likewise, I’ve been bewildered by feedback about events when people don’t understand the intention behind them—like when folks ask why my talk wasn’t more interactive when it’s clearly marketed as a TALK! Since there’s so much confusion about event formats, I thought I’d clarify things so we can all be on the same page in 2025.
Event Types:
- Presentation: This is where I share information with you in a formal, one-way manner.
- Talk: Similar to a presentation, but it’s more informal—still mostly one-way communication.
- Keynote Address: This is a high-profile, often inspirational talk I deliver to set the tone for an event or conference.
- Lecture: This is a more academic or structured session, where I dive deep into knowledge-sharing.
- Workshop: Here, you’ll actively participate in learning and activities—it’s interactive!
- Interview: I’m the one being asked questions, and I share my insights or expertise.
- Panel: A group of experts (like me) discussing a topic while you listen and engage indirectly.
- Performance: Think entertainment-driven—like “Orgasmic AF”! It’s not a workshop.
- Talk Show: A conversational, often casual format where I chat with hosts about various topics, sometimes with audience interaction.
Understanding these distinctions will help you stay informed and avoid confusion. Let’s embrace clarity and confidence as we move into 2025! #GetPolished #BeInTheKnow
