A One-Day In-Person Retreat for Queer Connection, Healing & Community
Come spend a nourishing day with fellow LGBTQIA+ folks to laugh, reflect, connect, and grow. This urban retreat is a soft, affirming space designed to help us build meaningful friendships while learning powerful embodiment tools together.
All are welcome, regardless of age, background, or experience level. Whether you’re feeling isolated, burnt out, or simply craving deeper connection — this day is for you.
All proceeds go to support RainbowAsia’s community work.
Please bring your own water bottle and food/snacks for sharing.
Program
9:30 – 10:30 a.m. — Laughter Yoga
Start the day with a full-body reset through joyful, intentional laughter. No mats or yoga experience needed — just your breath, voice, and presence. Laughter is one of the most natural ways to regulate the nervous system, release emotional tension, and activate healing.
10:30 – 11:00 a.m. — Break
11:00 – 12:30 p.m. — The Art of Deep Listening
Learn how to truly hold space — without judgment or interruption. This session will guide you through mindful communication practices to help you be fully present for others andyourself. Listening is a gift we can all offer.
12:30 – 1:30 p.m. — Lunch (Community Potluck)
Bring something to share or simply join in — this is a relaxed space for informal connection and nourishment.
1:30 – 3:00 p.m. — Soul Gazing
They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. In this practice, we go beyond appearances and into presence — meeting each other beyond words. Through sustained eye contact and somatic awareness, we explore what it means to truly see and be seen.
3:00 – 3:30 p.m. — Break
3:30 – 5:30 p.m. — Queer Tantra (Beginner Session)
Back by popular request after Pink Festival 2025! This gentle, queer-centered introduction to tantra explores connection, energy, consent, and embodied presence. All exercises are beginner-friendly, clothing-on, and consent-based. Expect slow movement, grounding, and opportunities to connect — all at your own pace.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Who is this event for?
This event is exclusively for LGBTQIA+ folks. While Dr. Martha has run many events over the years for heterosexual and mixed audiences, this space is lovingly created for queer people to connect, rest, and grow together.
Q: Can I come and go throughout the day?
Yes, you may leave or join at any point — but please arrive on time for each session. We begin with an emotional safety briefing and informed consent practices that set the tone for each session. Missing that may impact your understanding of the space and group dynamics.
Q: What’s the cost?
This is a “Pay What You Can” event. The recommended rate is S$25 per session but any amount is welcome. We understand different folks have different financial capacities.
Q: Who is organizing this and where does the money go?
This retreat is a community offering created out of goodwill by Dr. Martha Tara Lee and hosted under RainbowAsia. 100% of all contributions go to RainbowAsia’s ongoing queer community initiatives. Please attend with respect for the spirit in which this is offered.

- There is no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with.
Q: What if I feel overwhelmed or need support?
You’re never alone. If you need emotional support during or after the event, please let the facilitator or event team know privately. We will hold space for you or help you access additional support if needed.

- A water bottle
- Lunch or snacks to share (potluck-style)
