With your self-knowledge and intention setting, and my skills as a sexological bodyworker and erotic coach, together we can design a plan. This might include information and education, mapping out support networks, and planning a range of practical activities you can do by yourself, and/or with a partner, and/or in session with me. Location: NSW, Australia. I welcome clients via Telehealth from across the globe.

Maybe it was Catholic school or maybe it was Friday night sleepovers watching Girls of the Playboy Mansion, but I’ve always been fascinated by all things sex and pleasure—why we have it, how we have it, and what we can do to have more of it.

In session, I work with anything and everything in the realm of sex, relationships, and intimacy. Experiencing unwanted pain during sex can be distressing and many clients I speak to feel broken or like their body has betrayed them. I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals and couples experiencing painful sex, including vaginismus, to heal and repair their relationship with their body. With the right support, tools, and resources it is possible to move from pain and fear to a place of pleasure, ease, and vitality.

Beginning with embodiment practices to get you out of your head and into your body, oriented to our shared space—my approach is somatic and practice-based, which means that you learn by doing. To help you integrate the learnings from each session, you’ll receive a Pleasure Prescription—a curation of home practices and resources to explore outside of our time together. Sessions are 100% led by you and your needs, which means we move at your own pace and you have complete agency over what we explore in session—your body is our guide.

Sharon Teo – Sexual Health and Wellness Educator and Counsellor

9. Sharon Teo (She / Her)

Location: Singapore

Sex is a taboo topic in our Asian conservative society. Many who are experiencing difficulties with their sexual health may find it embarrassing and tough to talk to someone about it.

In Singapore, cases related to vaginismus are increasing and could also be one of the contributing reasons for declining birth rate. A local study conducted by KK Women’s and Children’s hospital (KKH) reflected a result of 58.6% of Asian women in Singapore are at risk of female sexual dysfunction. Psychological distress and traumatic experiences are common triggers to hormonal imbalance, interfering with ovulation thus leading to delayed pregnancy. (CNA, 2021)

Jassy Rennie – Founder of Second Base & Pleasure Educator and Advocate

14. Jassy Rennie (She/ Her)

Location: Melbourne, Australia

Position statement around Vaginismus:

If penetration feels impossible, like your body’s shutting down or saying no even when your brain is trying to say yes, you might be dealing with vaginismus.

It’s more common than people think, and it’s rarely spoken about properly. This is for anyone who’s felt like they’re doing something wrong, or that their body is betraying them. You’re not broken. You’re not too far gone. You just haven’t been given the right kind of support.

This 1:1 program is here to help you reconnect with your body in a way that’s safe, slow, and actually grounded in pleasure. We’ll focus on understanding vaginismus, reducing fear, building safety, and supporting you if and when you want to use dilators. No pressure. No timelines. Just real tools and space to feel like yourself again. If you’ve tried clinical approaches that left you overwhelmed or missed the emotional side of it completely, you’re in the right place.

Service:

Jassy (She/Her) is the founder of Second Base—an online sex therapy clinic and education platform that exists to make conversations about sex, pleasure, and intimacy way more accessible, inclusive, and actually useful.

She is a certified Somatic Focused Sexologist with a background in mentoring, somatics, and yoga—and she has spent the last eight years helping people feel more at home in their bodies, more connected in their relationships, and more confident in their sex lives.

These days, she specialises in supporting folks with vaginismus and painful penetration. It’s work that’s close to my heart—because so many people feel stuck, broken, or alone when sex feels painful or impossible. She has completed professional training specifically in vaginismus support, and she offers a 1:1 program that’s practical, pleasure-based, and nervous-system-aware.

She has been mentored by one of Melbourne’s leading Clinical Sexologists and completed an internship with POSMO, a well-loved sexual wellness brand. She holds qualifications through the Australian Institute of Somatic Sexology (AISS), is a member of the Somatic Sexology Association of Australasia, and is currently completing her Bachelor in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Since founding Second Base, she has supported over 100 clients and couples with challenges ranging from low desire and sexual shame to communication blocks. Her work has been featured in Body + Soul magazine. Outside of work, she can usually be found surfing, sipping oat capps, or diving into feminist and fantasy reads.

She values curiosity, courage, and connection—and believes that pleasure is our birthright.
